Arts Anthology 2024
16th July 2024
In celebration of Arts Week at St Margaret’s, the English department is extremely proud to present the ‘Creativity’ Anthology for 2024!
Over the past academic year our students have been working extremely hard in the classroom, but alongside this, a huge variety of activities have also been taking place outside of the classroom. And we are now ready to show you the results of some of those projects in this anthology.
The submissions for this anthology were open to all Senior School students, and needed to be something they worked on in their own time, including in co-curricular clubs and enrichment sessions. Although there are a number of artistic and written entries in this anthology, there is also a breadth of other creative projects, including dance, music and STEM fair projects.
“The quality of the entries in this anthology are a testament not only to the students' talents, but to the wide range of co-curricular activities on offer here at the School”
Some highlights of the anthology include beautiful portraiture by Charmaine and Evie in Year 9; an array of vibrant claywork from the Art Scholars club, including moneyboxes from Harrison and Kendra in Year 7; and delicate, thoughtful photography from our Head of School, Gracie in Year 12. The entries from our musicians display the sheer number of instruments being mastered, from the piano and violin to more obscure instruments like the yangqin and the ocarina.
On behalf of the English department, we sincerely hope you enjoy browsing the sheer talent, skill and courage of our students.
