Meet the Junior School Pupil Leadership Team
14th March 2023
Introducing Alisa and Mahi, Junior School Head Pupils, and Grace and Ibrahim, Deputy Head Pupils.
Alisa
Becoming Head Pupil gave me a confidence that I never really had before. When I delivered my speech, I was a bit nervous that I was going to make a mistake and say something wrong, but now that I am Head Pupil I realise that sometimes you have to just not worry about failing. I applied for Head Pupil hoping to represent the School and become a role model for the younger pupils. In my application I said I would treat everybody fairly and be a good leader, one who is understanding and willing to help. I hope my good manners and kindness, hard work and gratitude inspires others to behave in the same way.
Being Head Pupil means that I take care of tasks like handing out the registers in the morning, and on certain occasions I might be involved in whole school presentations or helping at open days.
Mahi
To be selected as Junior School Head Pupil was the result of hard work and focus during the six years I have been here. During this time, I have grown as an individual, shown leadership skills and supported other pupils. The day I was informed about the decision, I was extremely proud of myself.
In my role, I would like to bring the voice of the students back to the School and to the Junior School Head, Mrs Gray. I am keen to ensure that all the students across the School enjoy their time here as much as I have.

Grace
I know that being a Junior School Pupil Deputy Head is a big responsibility, I must be a role model for the younger years and be confident enough to be involved in whole school presentations.
St Margaret’s is a really nice and friendly community and there are lots and lots of fun and interesting lessons. Although there isn’t really much to improve here since this School is amazing, if I were to add anything it would be to do more running in PE and Games. Moving up to Senior School next year I picture myself studying hard, reading lots, playing games with my friends and playing lots of sport.
Ibrahim
I love my role as Deputy Head Pupil here. St Margaret’s School offers a lot of opportunities to students, some of which come with targets and goals to aim for. Having been awarded this position, I am committed to setting a good example to my peers and providing support to any students that need help.
As Deputy Head Pupil there is plenty I would like to achieve before the end of the year, in particular, I would like to start a basketball co-curricular club and have begun talking with the PE department about how this might work.
